Olympiacos announced Nikolas Papagelopoulos
Nikolas Papagelopoulos is a new player for Olympiakos in men’s volleyball as the Reds and Whites announce the start of cooperation with the veteran center.
Olympiacos announced on Thursday (July 14) that they had taken over Nikolas Papagelopoulos. The Greek center has signed his new contract and joins the roster of the club’s men’s volleyball team.

OLYMPIC SFP announces the start of its collaboration with Nikolas Papagelopoulos. The Greek center (born 11/17/1988, height 2.04 m) has signed his new contract and joins the roster of the club’s men’s volleyball team.
Last season (2020-21) Nikolas Papagelopoulos played for Foinikas Syros and in 2018-20 he played for Biogas Volley Näfels in Switzerland.

“It’s a great honor for me. I feel lucky to become part of the Olympiakos family. I know the size and the name of the club very well and I am ready to live this experience. The squad is designed way back to the top. And with that in mind, the leaders, the experienced coaching staff, the people on the team and of course my teammates and I will do whatever it takes to make it happen. The rest is up to us. Volleyball players of Kazan “Zenith” won the Russian Super Cup for the 11th time
Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.

Kazan “Zenit” reached the final of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup
Kazan “Zenit” defeated “Zenith” from St. Petersburg in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3-2 (25:20, 25:17, 18:25, 23:25, 15:12) in favor of the Kazan team.
In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.

Novosibirsk Lokomotiv became the first finalist of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup
Novosibirsk Lokomotiv defeated Dynamo Moscow in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–1 (21:25, 25:20, 25:13, 30:28).
In the other semi-final, which will take place later on Thursday, St. Petersburg and Kazan Zenit will meet.
The final match will take place on December 26.
