The financial issue is especially acute in women’s volleyball. Faced with meager salaries, even at the highest levels, many girls decide to leave the sport early. Those who dream of world fame have to endure work for pennies.

The popular athlete was even forced by money problems to earn extra money on adult sites. Volleyball fees are simply not enough to live on!

The best libero of the continent

Key Alves’ career is gradually going uphill. There are no high-profile victories behind the shoulders of the young Brazilian volleyball player, but she is confidently moving towards them. At the South American Championship among girls under 18, for example, the athlete received the title of the best libero – she was promised great prospects.

Now Alves is 22 years old – she plays in her homeland for the Ozascu club. In the last season of the Brazilian Championship, the team reached the quarterfinals – a very solid result. However, Key does not want to stop there – the girl is ready to help the club achieve the championship next season.

“I want to prove myself in the Osasca, to be in the starting lineup and become the champion of the Super League,” said Alves.

“I earn 50 times more in social networks”

Alves’ dedication is respected, especially against the backdrop of her modest volleyball earnings. Her fee is hardly enough even for food and household needs. Until recently, the girl had only dreamed of something more.

The athlete found an unexpected way out of a difficult financial situation by deciding to take advantage of the popularity of her social media accounts. Attractive appearance and a competent approach to the promotion of a personal brand helped her attract several million subscribers. The high demand for Alves on the Internet naturally attracted the attention of advertisers, but their payments also did not bring a significant increase in salary to the volleyball player. And then Key made a landmark decision that radically changed her life.

“At first, I just posted photos to my accounts. But I thought, “why am I doing this for free?” I talked to knowledgeable people and studied my audience on social networks. It turned out that more than 90% of my subscribers are men. After that, I created a profile on OnlyFans,” Key said about registering on an adult site.

The audience of the athlete liked this decision. On this paid platform, several thousand people quickly subscribed to it.

– I earn in social networks fifty times more than on volleyball. Most of all on OnlyFans, because they have a monthly subscription, – said Key.

“I stepped on my throat, but did not remove it”

Despite the “light” content, there were many people who wanted to regularly support the volleyball player on OnlyFans. Now more than 2,000 subscribers have subscribed to her account, each of which pays 16 euros for a month of access to the athlete’s pictures.

“Whether I like it or not, OnlyFans is my main income right now,” Alves told Sportcast.

With all this, the athlete clearly understands her status as a professional volleyball player, so she posts only decent content:

— I consider myself an athlete, model, influencer, businesswoman and entrepreneur. The photos I post on my OnlyFans page are light and professional. No naked bodies or anything like that, — quotes the words of the volleyball player edition Marca.

Alves’ accounts are now the most popular in social networks among active volleyball players. But their conduct does not at all prevent the Brazilian from engaging in the main activity. She learned to clearly separate these ways of earning. She even employs 8 people to help her create content.

But not everyone around the world of volleyball likes this way of earning. According to Alves, one of the coaches literally forced him to remove all social networking applications from his phone.

– I played in one team, where the coach demanded that I delete social networks. I stepped on my throat, but didn’t remove it. For this, they put me in reserve for a month, but then they nevertheless returned me. This not normal. Today people have to get used to it. It’s a new world summarized Alves.
