Klyuka hopes that young volleyball players will take advantage of the chance at the Spartakiad and get into Super League clubs

The volleyball player of the St. Petersburg “Zenith” and the bronze medalist of the Olympics as part of the Russian national team Yegor Klyuka on the air of “Match TV” expressed the hope that young players will be able to take the chance at the Spartakiad to get into the clubs of the Super League.
In the first match of the second round of the Volleyball Spartakiad among men’s national teams of the Russian Federation, the team of St. Petersburg defeated the team of the Leningrad Region (3:0). Kluka played for the team of St. Petersburg.
– How did everything go today, taking into account the fact that you moved to Moscow?
– Everything is fine, we had a day to go to the gym, prepare. And a day to test the hall. So we feel pretty good.
How interesting is it to see yourself and your colleagues now? And look at competitions in the format without legionnaires?
— Quite an interesting tournament, because the games go in a row, and there is no such thing in the Super League, so the preparation is a little different. This requires adaptation. And precisely the lineup changes, because without this it will be very difficult to withstand 4 matches in a row.
– The fact that there are no legionnaires in the team, how does this affect the players? Including the youth in your team.
— Not only in ours. I am glad that young people have the opportunity to prove themselves in many clubs. They only good luck! I think that someone will catch on and get into the Super League.
The meeting took place in Moscow. Earlier, the 1st round of the competition was held in Novosibirsk and Kazan. Now St. Petersburg takes an intermediate third place (6 points) after 4 matches. The teams that take the first two places will play in the final. The third and fourth will play the game for third place. Medal matches are scheduled for August 21st.

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.

In the Women’s Super League, Minsk in the away match of the 17th round defeated the Zarechye-Odintsovo team with a score of 3-2 (15:25, 22:25, 25:21, 25:15, 15:7).

St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–2 (25:17, 25:21, 19:25, 20:25, 15:13). Zenit extended its winning streak in the Super League to five matches.
In other matches of the day, Zenit Kazan beat Krasnoyarsk Yenisey at home – 3-1 (25:18, 25:20, 25:27, 25:20), the Dynamo-LO club (Sosnovy Bor) defeated Kemerovo Kuzbass at home – 3-0 (25:15, 25:19, 25:20).
The leader in the table is Zenit Kazan (16 wins, 45 points), Zenit from St. Petersburg (14 wins, 43 points) is second.
