Harden to the Sixers, half a dozen players in deal with the Nets
The bomb everyone was waiting for exploded just before Trade Deadline. Harden and Simmons switch cities and teams as the Nets and Sixers realized they had to turn a page in their history.
His exchange was now a way. For both the Nets and the Sixers. And sure enough, on Thursday evening (October 2nd) James Harden changed city and team, because he goes from Brooklyn to Philadelphia, from Kairi Irving – Kevin Durand goes to Joel Ebid, with the hope that he will finally be the team he is in what he didn’t feel with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Houston Rockets and the Brooklyn Nets.
Going in the opposite direction is Ben Simmons, who did not play this year as some snide remarks from his coach Doc Rivers in last year’s final “hit his heart”. The Aussie will make a fresh start alongside Irving-Durand in a team that is likely a better fit compared to the roster the Sixers have had in recent years.
The deal, which the two teams are still discussing, will involve multiple players. Seth Curry will definitely go to the Nets, as will Andre Drummond for the main center spot, with Brooklyn getting two draft picks, one in the first round and one in the second. Veteran Paul Millsap, who would be fired by the Nets anyway, will definitely do the opposite.
At Brooklyn, they knew they were going to lose Harden one way or another this summer, as Moussias (informing the Sixers he would be staying for $47.3 million next year) would exercise the option in his contract to sign a new one to obtain multi-year agreement. They had acquired it by giving to Caris Levert, Torian Prince, Jarrett Allen and finally they realized they had to approach the situation with realism. Simmons isn’t the ultimate reward, but he is a remarkable athlete who can raise the level of the Nets.

Antetokounmpo says how much time he could miss due to injury
Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo He injured his right calf in the match against the Denver Nuggets, resulting in his team’s defeat with a score of 100:102.
With about 40 seconds left in the game, during a quick attack, Janis suddenly stopped and caught his lower right leg. He quickly left the field and went to the locker room and returned to the bench seconds before the end of the game.
After the match, Janis confirmed that he felt pain throughout the match and had to stop:
“It doesn’t matter when I felt it. It doesn’t matter. I couldn’t finish the match. I felt it for most of the game, but I didn’t want to stop. Finally, I couldn’t move anymore and had to stop. Throughout the game, the pain got worse and worse as I played.”
Antetokounmpo estimated he would be out for four to six weeks.
“The next step will probably be an MRI tomorrow. After the MRI, they’ll probably tell me that I’ve torn something in my calf or shoulder. I’ll probably be given a protocol where I won’t play for 4 to 6 weeks.”
I will try to come back from now on with my experience in the NBA. This will probably be late February – early March. Hopefully the team will be in a position where we can at least go to the play-ins or play-offs and we will work every day and try to get better,” Janis added.
Janis finished the game with 22 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists.
Antetokounmpo has missed eight games this season due to a calf injury and looks set to face a similar injury this time around.
Giannis, who missed a total of 16 games this season due to his injury, averaged 28.3 points, 9.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game.
