“They’re all drunk.” MMA fighter had a fatal accident in the center of Moscow

Askhab Magomedov was injured and ended up in the hospital. The culprit was less fortunate.

Footage of a terrible accident with a fatal outcome in the center of Moscow instantly spread around news feeds and telegram channels. At the epicenter of events was the famous MMA fighter Askhab Magomedov, who has been involved in resonant scandals more than once. He was also accused of violating traffic rules.

However, this time the athlete seems to have become a victim of circumstances. Ashab was sitting in the passenger seat in the car of a famous blogger when a car-sharing car flew into a luxury foreign car at full speed.

Magomedov was injured and was hospitalized. And the culprit of the accident was less fortunate.

“I understand they are dead”

A nightmarish incident occurred on Butyrsky Val in Moscow on the night of May 5-6. MMA fighter Askhab Magomedov was driving a Porsche Panamera car along with a popular blogger and streamer Nekoglay and his companion. As can be seen on the video recording from surveillance cameras, the carsharing car flew at high speed to the intersection, ignoring the red traffic light, and crashed into the side of the Porsche.

– Just hit me at the speed of *** (crashed). This is my car, my Porsche, and *** (hit) those two over there. I had a concussion, Askhab’s head was broken. We are not at fault for the accident. We were driving on the green, dudes flew into us at a huge speed, they flew a hundred plus kilometers on the red. As I understand it, they died,” Nekoglai said in a video posted on his Telegram channel.

Magomedov has head and shoulder injuries

According to the 112 telegram channel, two more vehicles were damaged in the accident. In total, five people sought medical help, and the driver of the carsharing car, who allegedly became the culprit of the accident, died on the spot.

Askhab Magomedov was hospitalized. The athlete suffered head and shoulder injuries.

– At the time of the accident, I was sitting in the front seat, the blow was strong, on the right side, but I don’t remember that. We just drove, I open my eyes and start to suffocate, they lie unconscious behind me. I regain consciousness, I see two corpses. They had alcohol, they are all drunk,” Magomedov told Izvestia.

Scandalous video and shooting in the air

The 21-year-old athlete specializes in pop MMA and does not yet have serious achievements in professional mixed martial arts. However, this is not the first time that Magomedov has found himself in the center of media attention. In September 2021, Askhab was criticized on social media for posting a video showing him beating a colleague while on military duty.

In November, Magomedov published videos showing pistol shooting and high-speed racing. Then the fighter denied involvement in the offenses, saying that his brother was driving, and others were shooting.
