“It’s a thrill for me to compete with the guys. I am far behind them, but I see that there is room to strive for ”- Reztsova about training with the Bashkirov group

Russian biathlete Kristina Reztsova spoke about her feelings from joint training with the athletes of the group of Sergei Bashkirov and noted the support of the fans.

Reztsova took part in the open training of the Bashkirov group, which includes, among others, Alexander Loginov, Alexander Povarnitsyn, Anton Babikov and Maxim Tsvetkov. The lesson took place in Toksovo (Leningrad region).

– I’m training now alone, and it’s very interesting for me to compete with the guys, it’s a thrill. Sparring partners are needed, of course, I am far behind them, but I see that there is room for improvement,” Reztsova told Match TV.

– Are they teasing you?

– Well, what to do? They are (smiles). Nothing, we have friendly relations.

– We heard the stands shouting: “Show the peasants how to shoot!”

– Of course! Thanks for support.

– In the current situation without international competitions, is there anything to prepare for?

— Of course, I am the kind of person who is always looking for the best. I set myself up that when they let us in, we must be ready, ”Reztsova told Match TV.

The International Biathlon Union (IBU) in March announced the suspension of Russians and Belarusians from participating in competitions under the auspices of the organization due to the situation in Ukraine.
