Washington Capitals Russian forward Yevgeny Kuznetsov has been fined $5,000 for hitting an opponent with a club in an NHL playoff game against Florida, according to the league’s website.

Kuznetsov, after stopping the game, jabbed a stick in the chin of Panthers forward Noel Acciari. The money will be transferred to the Emergency Player Assistance Fund.
