Ivan made a powerful application for the game in the main composition of Capitals.
Preseason matches are a great opportunity for young hockey players to try my luck in NHL teams and prove their willingness to go to the ice of the best league of the world.
The rising star of Washington from Russia Ivan Miroshnichenko does not intend to lose his chance. He is already compared with Ovechkin!
Russian with a powerful character
The history of Miroshnichenko is worthy of film adaptation. At the beginning of 2022, the striker was made a severe diagnosis – the Hodgkin lymphoma. But Ivan fought the disease and after six months he returned to the ice. In July, Washington chose a talented hockey player in the first round of the NHL draft.
After a year and a half, Ivan debuted in the strongest League of the world, and in the fifth match he scored the first point, throwing the puck into the gates of Pittsburgh. But the striker has not yet been able to truly gain a truly gain in the main composition of Washington, spending more time in the Hershi Bears farm club in AHL.
Before the start of the current pre -season, Miroshnichenko was invited to the preparatory camp “Capitals”. Ivan needs to show herself from the best side to remain at the base, and he understands it very well. In the first game against Boston, the Russian demonstrated a combat character. He literally gnawed the puck in the foreign zone and in the fall gave the burning gear to Bogdan Trineev, who remained point -blank to shoot the goalkeeper Bruins. This helped Washington win with a score of 5: 2.
“It’s just magic”
The second meeting of the preseason against Philadelphia Ivan can also bring to his asset. At the first capture of the “pilots” gates, the Russian striker actively closed the review to the goalkeeper of the opponent during the throw by Andrew Crystal, and at the second he inscribed his name in the protocol. Miroshnichenko showed that the left flank of Washington is a great danger without Ovechkin. Ivan broke along the side and in close combat outplayed the goalkeeper “Flyers” Alexei Kolosov. Kapitals eventually won with a score of 5: 1, and the puck Miroshnichenko became victorious.
The beautiful passage of Ivan inspired experts and fans to bright comments. Many deservedly compare the young Russian with the captain of the “capital”, who continues to recover after the injury.
– Miroshnichenko scored a bright goal, breaking through the left flank powerfully. He looked like Ovechkin in his youth, – wrote a sports observer Yang Oland.
“Ivan will play for Capitals this season, if you continue to use more such moments,” wrote CBS Sports journalist Christopher Bengel.
“A beautiful goal from Miroshnichenko after shifting from the left flank,” the author of the official website of the NHL Tom Gutitty praised the Russian.
“The second coming of Ovechkin,” compared Ivan with the eminent teammate @Martyrose97.
– Miroshnichenko literally flew to the gate, masterfully using the corps to protect the puck from the defender. A very impressive goal, ”wrote the user @gasstationunagi.
– This is just magic Miroshnichenko. It is very similar to his last year’s goal against Hartford, – it is written in the fans of the Hershei Bears fans @hbhnationBlog.
Washington began the preseason with two victories, and Miroshnichenko made a powerful application to start the NHL regular championship. With the return to the ice of the leaders, his playing time and the role in the team will significantly decrease, but the mood and readiness of the Russian give hope that the long -awaited breakthrough will happen very soon.
