Rayo Vallecano supporter groups Plataforma ADRV and Bukaneros have called on fans to boycott the club's home match against Deportivo Alaves in Leganes.
The Spanish top-flight fixture, scheduled for Thursday at 21:00 hours, was moved to Estadio Municipal de Butarque after regional authorities closed Estadio de Vallecas due to severe safety concerns.
The Community of Madrid, which owns Estadio de Vallecas, maintained precautionary measures halting all activity at the venue. Regional officials cited grave safety deficiencies, widespread obsolescence, and severe regulatory non-compliance as the reasons for keeping the stadium closed to the public.
Rayo Vallecano carried out maintenance and cleaning work in recent weeks and insisted the stadium was fit for use, presenting an audit with a favorable report. However, after reviewing the document, the Community of Madrid refused to lift the restrictions.
Stoppage Request and Regional Dispute
In response to the refusal, Rayo Vallecano released a statement early Wednesday expressing regret over the decision by the regional government. The club formally requested LaLiga to postpone the fixture, arguing that being unable to play at Vallecas causes severe harm to the club and its supporters.

Despite the club's appeal, fan umbrella group Plataforma ADRV and ultra group Bukaneros renewed their call for a total spectator boycott of the game in Leganes, reiterating a request they first made last week.
Fan Grievances and Refund Demands
The supporter organizations accused club president Raul Martin Presa of abandoning the team and driving Rayo Vallecano to ruin. They alleged that Presa has put fan safety at risk for 15 years with the connivance of public institutions.
The groups urged supporters to join forces to demand a refund for the portion of season tickets corresponding to matches not played at Estadio de Vallecas. They also criticized institutional neglect, news blackouts, and what they described as the complete abandonment of season ticket holders.
The fan statement concluded that the boycott was launched for the youth academy, the women's team, club staff, the stadium facilities, and above all, for the supporters themselves.
Rayo Vallecano, based in the working-class Vallecas district of Madrid, has played at Estadio de Vallecas since 1976. Estadio Municipal de Butarque, located in the southern Madrid suburb of Leganes, serves as the home ground for CD Leganes.
