Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmila Kichenok Wimbledon was successfully held in 2023.
She won the Ukrainian mixed doubles cup with Croatian Mate Pavić.
Lyudmila became the third Ukrainian to win a Grand Slam title and the first Ukrainian to win the trophy in the Grass Major. At the 2008 Australian Open, sisters Alena and Kateryna Bondarenko became champions by beating Victoria Azarenka of Belarus and Shahar Pierre of Israel in three sets in the final.
For the mixed doubles championship took Lyudmila 64 thousand pounds – 3 million hryvnia. The Ukrainian also performed in doubles with Alena Ostapenko, who was eliminated in the first round of the competition. For a game in a double, Ludmila gained 6875 pounds.
