Eurovolley 2023: The draw for national women’s volleyball
The draw for Eurovolley 2023 took place on Wednesday afternoon (11/16), in which our women’s national team was drawn in the Düsseldorf group together with Germany, Azerbaijan, Turkey, the Czech Republic and Sweden.
On Wednesday afternoon (November 16th) the draw for Eurovolley 2023 took place, in which our national team will also take part.
That Women’s Euro Volleyball will take place from August 15, 2023 to September 3, 2023 with guest countries Belgiumthe Germanythe Italy and Estonia.
THE Women’s National Team will attend for 7 times in its history in the final stages of the European Championship and 3rd in a row (1985, 1991, 1993, 2001, 2019, 2021, 2023)
The blue-whites were drawn into the third group, which will be held in Düsseldorf and will compete there Germany, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Czech Republic and Sweden.
The top four teams in each group advance to the round of 16.
Where will it take place?
Group A will be played in Belgium and the matches will be played Gent.
Group B will be played in Italy and the matches will be played in the cities Verona, Monza and Turin.
Group C takes place in Germany and the matches will be played in Germany Dusseldorf.
Group D takes place in Estonia Tallinn will be the city where the games will be held.

Volleyball players of Kazan “Zenith” won the Russian Super Cup for the 11th time
Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.

Kazan “Zenit” reached the final of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup
Kazan “Zenit” defeated “Zenith” from St. Petersburg in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3-2 (25:20, 25:17, 18:25, 23:25, 15:12) in favor of the Kazan team.
In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.

Novosibirsk Lokomotiv became the first finalist of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup
Novosibirsk Lokomotiv defeated Dynamo Moscow in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–1 (21:25, 25:20, 25:13, 30:28).
In the other semi-final, which will take place later on Thursday, St. Petersburg and Kazan Zenit will meet.
The final match will take place on December 26.
