OLYMPIC SFP announces the start of its collaboration with Dragan Travica. The Italian international passer (born 28/8/1986, height 2.00m) has signed his new contract and joins the squad of the club’s men’s volleyball team.

In Italy he has worn the jerseys of Padua, Modena, Lube, Monza, Sparkling Milano, Crema, Falconara and Treviso, while also playing in Turkey (Halkbank), Russia (Belogorie Belgorod) and Iran (Sardari Urmia). Among other things, he has a Champions League, a Challenge Cup, a Club World Cup and championships in Italy and Turkey under his belt.

Dragan Travica has played in the Italian men’s national team since 2007, with which he won bronze at the 2012 Olympic Games, two silver medals at the European Championships (2011, 2013) and two bronze medals at the World League (2013, 2014). .

In 2011, Dragan Travica emerged with the Italian national team as the best passer at the European Championships.

Statement by Dragan Travitsa on olympiacossfp.gr:

“I am very happy to become a member of Olympiakos. I’m happy to be part of a club with so many sports that are at the highest level. That’s unique, that motivates me. It’s a challenge for me to play in a league I’ve never played in before. My father (ss Ljubo Travica) was a coach here for two years in the past and spoke to me about the league. Greece is an incredible country, just like Athens is an excellent city. I vacationed in Greece and I remember many beautiful things, so I like living here. I will enjoy it. It’s a challenge for me because Olympiacos is a club that always wants to move up to achieve its goals of being at the top every year. We will fight to win all competitions, that’s the best thing for an athlete to always play for the win. It won’t be easy, the league has good teams, but that’s the sport. We have to work a lot at the beginning, we are a new team. I’m proud to meet our fans, I know the atmosphere they create in the stadium! I’m a player who gives everything on the pitch and it’s incredible to play in such an atmosphere.”
